Tailgate Snacks Football season is a favorite at our house not just because of the game but because of the food!  Tailgate Snacks are required whether we are watching from home or at the stadium and fruit salsa is a favorite. For some of our other favorite tailgate snack recipes check out this delicious Easy Homemade Hummus, Guacamole and Blender Salsa.  They are all perfect for dipping and game watching. I am married to a HUGE sports fan and one of his favorites is college football. In fact, our first date was to a college football game where he very patiently explained to me everything that was happening on the field and I pretended to be interested! It wasn’t until after we were married that he discovered that my favorite thing about sports was the food. Whether we are watching a game in person, at the stadium, or in front of the television, in our home, it’s all about the snacks and food for me.  I love a good tailgate!  Now that it is just the two of us at home and this season we will be watching all the games from home the food is more important than ever and thanks to Albertsons, it has never been easier and quicker to put together. Tailgate Appetizers One trip to my local Albertsons store and I had everything I needed to put together a fresh, delicious and easy tailgate party snacks including a delicious fruit salsa. With a stop at the deli, produce and bakery departments I had everything I needed to fill up my tailgate snack board.  Nothing says tailgate food more than chicken wings and Albertsons deli has a great selection of flavors.  They are made in store and ready to eat.  I also picked up a couple of different salads including their potato salad and coleslaw from the deli along with some fresh cut fruit bowls to use for my fruit salsa recipe.  Of course, I needed something sweet so some Signature SELECT™ Chocolate Chip Cookies finished off my tailgate appetizers.  We are game ready!   Fruit Salsa Buying the fresh cut fruit bowls makes putting together the fruit salsa so easy! I used the berry bowl and the fresh peeled and sliced mango.  All I had to do was cut the mango up into smaller pieces. Add all the fruit to a bowl along with some sugar and strawberry jam. Mix to combine and then refrigerate for an hour or so.  Then it is ready to serve.  Could it be any easier!?!  The only other thing you need are some chips. To put the tailgate snacks together I just grabbed a tray, you could also use a cutting board and added my chicken wings, salads, fruit salsa, chips and cookies.  Game ready! It’s guaranteed to be a good game, whether your team wins or not, when you have delicious and easy snacks to enjoy while watching.  This yummy fruit salsa is perfect for a tailgate party or any party!   I shopped at Albertsons in my local area, but you can also find quality [theme/ hero items] at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, and Tom Thumb.
